Today is the grand day for the Swedish company who has finally launched the much awaited luxury sedan Volvo S60 . This is the first entry from the Swedish car maker for fiscal year 2011, the has already created a hysteria among the customers much before its launch. The Swedish auto biggie has rolled our three bewitching variants in the Indian auto market at a lucrative price range. Out of the three variants , two are equipped with diesel engines and one is powered with the petrol engine. The two diesel engine variants are Volvo S60 D5 Kinetic and Volvo S60 D5 Summum, these are available at a price of Rs 27 lakhs and Rs 32 lakhs respectively. However Volvo S60 T6 Summum, the petrol variant is priced at Rs 34 lakhs.

The aesthetically designed Volvo S60 is equipped with advanced and special safety features, it is one the cheapest cars rolled out by Volvo. Vovlo diesel will be competing with the cars like Audi A4 3.0 TDI and BMW 320D, however Volvos60 petrol variant will be facing competition from Audi A4 3.2 and BMW 330i.

The T6 twin-turbo petrol powertarin has six cylinder powertrain which has a capacity of producing a robust power of 304 bhp at 5600 rpm and a stupendous torque of of 44.6 kgm at 2100 rpm. The petrol variant of Volvo S60 on the other hand is incorporated with six cylinder pot. The luxury sedan can speed upto 0-100 in 6.5 seconds and can be driven upto 250 km in an hour.

The highlight of the stunner sedan is the intact safety features such as lane departure control, pedestrian detection with auto-brake, blind lane information system, adaptive cruise control. These safety features are not available in any other cars in India.
