Volvo XC60 launched in Hyderabad for Rs 40 lakh

Volvo XC60 was unfolded in Hyderabad in India in the luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment. The premium SUV was initially launched in Lavanza in Pune, Maharashtra. It has now been launched in Hyderabad with a price tag of Rs 40 lakh (ex-show room, Hyderabad). Sandeep Narayan, the Director in Marketing and PR in Volvo Auto India was present at the launch ceremony of this SUV.
Extremely delighted with the launch, he exclaimed that, Volvo XC60, is one of the best SUV which is a perfect blend of comfort, quality, safety, newness and Scandinavian design. He added that, the company is confident that in the Indian auto market Volvo XC60 will get an edge over the others in the premium SUV segment.

The Volvo XC60 is studded with various features which makes it a class apart from its rivals. The SUV is charged with 2.4 litre, five cylinder turbo charged diesel powertrain which has a capacity to churn out a power of 205 hp @ 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 420 Nm at 1500-3250 rpm. The SUV, Volvo XC60 has six speed geartronic gearbox in just 8.9 seconds can reach to a speed of 0-100 kmph and giving a mileage of 13.8 kmpl (as per the auto company). The SUV is affixed with new designs and comes with intelligent braking system, which extremely beneficial in the start and stop in the busy traffic of the Indian roads.
The Volvo XC60 is sturdy SUV with its well defined looks such as dynamic roof rails, the Front bumper bar and Scuff plate tinted compliment the exteriors. The SUV is loaded with Laser assisted automatic braking, Haldex AWD with the instant traction, 9 exterior body hues with twin coloured leather upholstery, 19 inches alloy wheels and much more.

Mr Narayan further said that, the company targets at the 15 to 18 per cent of the sale in the premium luxury SUV segment. The Volvo XC60 has already received the pre booking of 90 cars. He added that, this shows the consumers trust in the Volvo.
Mr Narayan also revealed the future plans of the Swedish Auto company, that it expects to expand the dealerships to 12 in the next year and to further enhance it to 15 this will help the luxury car makers to reach to a greater reach of consumers. The company also looks forward to launch new car models to capture the larger chunk of the growing market. He also said that, the company aims at shipping the vehicles in the completely built unit from production unit in Belgium. He also quoted that, currently Volvo is not looking for setting up a manufacturing unit in India.
