Latest Update: The upcoming Carens EV is expected to go on sale in mid-2025 alongside the Carens facelift.
Price: The Kia Carens EV could be priced from Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
Electric Motor, Battery Pack And Range: Its technical details haven't been revealed just yet. However, we believe it will likely have a claimed range of around 400-500 km with a single motor setup. It will likely support DC fast charging and V2L (vehicle-to-load) functionality as well.
Features: The electric MPV is expected to come with the same dual digital displays (10.25-inch each for infotainment and instrumentation), wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and a sunroof from the standard Carens.
Safety: In terms of safety tech, expect it to get six airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), and front and rear parking sensors. The Carens EV might possibly even get a few advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features.
Rivals: It won’t have a direct rival at launch but it will serve as a more affordable option to the BYD eMAX7.
