Latest Update: The Maruti Wagon R has completed 25 years in India and has been sold to over 32 lakh customers. 44 percent of the total Wagon R sales come from first-time car buyers. In related news, Maruti is offering discounts of up to Rs 77,000 on the Wagon R this December.
Price: The Maruti Wagon R is priced between Rs 5.55 lakh and Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Maruti Wagon R EV: The Wagon R EV is set to join Maruti's electric vehicle lineup by January 2026.
Variants: The Wagon R is offered in four broad variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The LXi and VXi trims also offer a CNG option.
Colour Options: You can buy it in seven monotone and two dual-tone colours: Gallant Red, Poolside Blue, Solid White, Nutmeg Brown, Silky Silver, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, Magma Grey with Midnight Black roof, and Gallant Red with Midnight Black roof.
Boot Space: It offers a boot capacity of 341 litres.
Engine and Transmission: The Wagon R comes in two petrol engine options: a 1-litre unit generating 67 PS and 89 Nm and a 1.2-litre unit producing 90 PS and 113 Nm, both paired with either 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. The CNG powertrain, on the other hand, produces 57 PS and 82 Nm, and comes mated to the manual gearbox only.

- A Hand On Experience After 3 Yrs Of UseOK..I am going to write this review about new Maruti WagonR 1000cc after using it for about 3 years..First of all I want to say that, for a middle class family, buying a car is like a dream come true. We bought this car in January 2022. We've a wonderful and memorable journey experience with this car.. I'm going to break it down the overall experience. AFFORDABLE : It's price range is about 4.8 to 7 lac(price may have increased during this period ).. We baught it in about 6 lac with accessories and including various taxes. SPACE and Comfort : new WagonR is more spacious than it's previous MODEL, idea for a family of 4-5. LOOK: it looks bigger from outside than its old model..overall look is good. MILEAGE : In city it is about 15-18 and on highway it is 22-23..which is good in this category. Ground Clearance : fair enough PERFORMANCE : We have travelled a lot in this car...Especially long journeys of about 400-500 km..it's good.. Though there is an issue of bubbling beyond the limit of 100 kmph..Aferall it is designed for cities not for highways..but overall journey is satisfying. MAINTENANCE : It is very low as compared to the cars of same category. But, Maruti Workshop agents often fool you by adding unnecessary accessories into your bill. SAFETY: You all know that Maruti cars does not fit in safety ratings.. Overall this car is good and affordable which also includes comfort and low maintenance. It's a family car made for cities.
