Audi, the German luxury car powerhouse, has always held a legacy for their state of the art styling and splendid performance. A couple of months ago, this car maker unleashed its next generation A6 sedan in the Indian market in both petrol and diesel versions. The former is available with the name Audi A6 35 TFSI, which has the ability to grab eyeballs at a glance due to its aerodynamic cues. It embraces LED headlights at the front, while rear end comes with dynamic turn indicators. This retouched variant is gaining a lot of appreciations from enthusiasts for its zestful fuel efficiency. It is out to revolutionize the segment owing to the latest auto engine start/stop system with energy recovery technology. The company has raised their bar which reflects in its interiors which now come with an advanced infotainment system integrated to several noteworthy user friendly functions. Apart from this, an MMI retractable screen is also available to assist the driver. For comfort and convenience, it is equipped with electric adjustable front seats, whereas the driver side comes with a memory function. Engine and Performance:

This luxury sedan gets energy from a 1.8-litre TFSI petrol engine fitted under its hood with DOHC valve configuration, including a total of four cylinders and is based on euro V emission norm compliance. The car has a spacious fuel tank of 75-litres and displacement capacity of 1798cc. Despite being heavier than Audi A4 and A3, it churns out 320Nm between 1400 to 4100rpm and 187.74bhp at 4200 to 6200rpm, which is quite decent, but could have been better. The power train is paired to a 7-speed S tronic transmission in order to drive its front wheels. All thanks to the use of auto engine start/stop system and energy recovery technology, it enables this vehicle to return an improved mileage figure of about 11.26 Kmpl in traffic condition, while 15.26 Kmpl on highways. It can touch 100 Kmph from a standstill in mere 7.9 seconds ahead of attaining a top speed of 233 Kmph.

Braking and Handling:

There is a drive select function, which facilitates the driver to choose one of three modes from comfort, auto and dynamic which can be switched as per your driving taste. This vehicle handles quite well as it comes with adaptive air suspensions which are added at the front and rear end in context of preventing frictions to bother the occupants inside. Its all wheels are mated to ventilated disc brakes that are truly impressive as they get dedicated openings (holes) inside so that air could pass through and cool the discs when things really get hot. It includes a superb Bose surround sound system that delivers 600 watts of output with front and rear speakers. It unifies DVD player, USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth with hands free mode. There is a read-out function, which shows messages and emails from your phone on the screen in your preferred language. Apart from these, this runabout also confers an intuitive and advanced voice dialogue system to access your phone, radio, audio and navigation system by giving voice commands. It is packed with three zone automatic air conditioner, seat lumbar support, cruise control, steering wheel gearshift paddles, rear windscreen defogger, accessory power outlet, front and rear power windows. Moreover, armrest and headrest are available in its second row. In addition to the above you also get 530-litres of luggage room which can be increased further by folding its rear seat.

This vehicle is offered with front as well as rear airbags, ABS, EBD, keyless entry, central locking, day and night rear view mirrors. It has an engine immobilizer system to prevent any unauthorized entry. Besides these, this model incorporates vehicle stability program, adjustable seats and warnings regarding seat belt, door ajar and low fuel.
