The second largest automobile firm in India, Hyundai Motors has updated its entire fleet of models including its compact sedan, Xcent. It has recently increased the prices of all its models and now it has added few more features to its vehicles to meet the customers demand for more safety measures. Among the variants, the Hyundai Xcent 1.1 CRDi SX is one of the diesel variants and it comes equipped with the same 1.1-litre U2 CRDi power plant. Its transmission duties are handled by the same 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. Perhaps there are no changes made to the technical specifications or to its styling. The only revision that this model gets is the anti lock braking system, which is now available as standard feature. Apart from all of this, all its features have been retained. This variant is blessed with top rated comfort features like a proficient air conditioning unit including rear air vents, glove box cooling, key less entry and other advanced features. Engine and Performance:

Powering this trim is the same 1.1-litre CRDi, U2, diesel engine that has a displacement capacity of 1120cc . The company designed this engine on DOHC valve configuration and incorporated it with common rail direct injection system. It comprises of 3-cylinders and 12 valves that enables it to produce a maximum power of 71Bhp at 4000rpm while generating a commanding torque of 180Nm in the range of 1750 to 2500rpm. The front wheels of this compact sedan will draw the engine torque via a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. This sedan is capable of producing an attractive mileage of 24.4 Kmpl. On the other hand, it takes about 15 to 17 seconds for the vehicle to cross 100 Kmph speed mark and it can reach a top speed of approximately 150 Kmph.

Braking and Handling

its front wheels are fitted with sturdy set of disc brakes, while its rear ones have been mated with drum brakes. This disc and drum braking combination works efficiently in all road and weather conditions. On the other hand, it comes with a robust suspension system that determines the stability of the vehicle. Its front axle come fitted with McPherson Strut type of system while its rear axle is equipped with torsion beam type of system. Apart from all these, the company is offering this sub 4-meter sedan with a 2-DIN integrated audio system that comprises of a CD player along with a Radio unit. It also has an internal memory of 1GB and connectivity features like USB and AUX-In. It also has Bluetooth connectivity with control switches mounted on steering wheel.

Safety Features:

The manufacturer is now offering this trim with anti lock braking system and electronic brake-force distribution as standard. Apart from this, all the other safety features remains to be same, which can ensures proper protection to the occupants. Those list includes the driver and passenger air bags, central locking system, keyless entry function, electro chromic interior rear view mirror and other innovative aspects. This sedan also comes with an advanced engine immobilizer system that protects the vehicle front unauthorized persons.
