  • Renault Duster The Renault Duster was one of the first compact crossovers to come to the Indian market. It can be said to be the reason behind the popularization of the concept of crossovers in the sub-10 lakh rupees price bracket.
  • Renault Duster The Duster is available in 5 variants: STD, RxE, RxL, RxS, and RxZ. It comes with two engine options: a petrol and a diesel. The petrol is available with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed CVT automatic gearbox, while the diesel gets the option of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT.
  • Renault Duster The rear roof-mounted spoiler seen here is part of the official accessory list. Rear washer & wiper are available on the RxL, RxS and RxZ variants.
  • Renault Duster The Duster's front fascia is characterised by an upright nose, boxy headlights, a chrome grille and a beefy looking bumper. It justifies the SUV-like image that the vehicle is chasing to achieve.
  • Renault Duster All variants of the Duster come with roof rails. On the top end RxZ variant, they are finished in satin chrome, while all lower variants get black roof rails instead.
  • Renault Duster Only the top of the line RxZ variant of the Renault Duster gets reverse parking camera with guidelines. The crossover also comes with 3 parking sensors on the rear bumper.
  • Renault Duster The front grille gets chrome inserts in the middle. These two chrome bars run between the two headlight assemblies, with the Renault badge placed in the middle.
  • Renault Duster Front fog lamps are available on the RxL, RxS and RxZ variants of the Duster. The circular lamps are located inside large black housings and get a chrome border as well.
  • Renault Duster The Duster received a midlife facelift in 2016. The biggest update was in the headlight department. Though the shape of the assembly remained unchanged, Renault overhauled its internals. Sadly there are still no projectors or LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) on any variant of the Duster.
  • Renault Duster The tail lights get a waterfall-shaped LED strip that lights up with the car's parking lights. On either side of the strip are the stop lamps. The turn indicator is located on the top corner while the reversing light is placed on the bottom edge.
  • Renault Duster The outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) are black in colour on the STD and RxE variants, body coloured on the RxL and RxZ (4x2) variants, and get a Carbon Cubic print on the RxS and RxZ (4x4) models. Turn indicators are integrated within the ORVM caps on the RxL, RxS and RxZ trims.
  • Renault Duster The outside door handles are black in colour on the STD and RxE variants, while higher trims get them in body colour. The chrome door handles seen in this image are available as part of the official accessory list.
  • Renault Duster The Duster gets beefed up wheel arches and black body cladding on the lower panels. This helps in making the car look rugged and SUV-like. The door side sill is black in all variants except the top of the line RxZ trim, which gets a satin chrome sill instead.
  • Renault Duster The STD, RxE and RxL variants come with steel rims, with the last two getting full wheel covers as well. Meanwhile, the RxS and RxZ variants get dual-tone alloy wheels with gunmetal finish. The rim size is 16-inch, while the tyre profile on offer is 215/65.
  • Renault Duster Notice the horizontal slats between the Renault logo located on the front grille. Also visible here is the mesh pattern of the grille.
  • Renault Duster The door side graphics seen here are available on the petrol models of the RxE, RxL and RxS variants only.
  • Renault Duster The Renault Duster gets a standard ground clearance of 205mm, which is enough for clearing all large potholes and speed breakers. The AWD (all wheel drive) models, however, get an additional 5mm of ground clearance, that helps in some mild off-roading.
  • Renault Duster The Duster comes with an AWD system with the 1.5-litre diesel engine. However, it can be opted for only in the top of the line RxZ trim.
  • Renault Duster The use of chrome on the Duster's front fascia is very smartly done. While the grille accents look smart, they aren't too gaudy and in-your-face. This, along with the fact that the silver skid plate on the front bumper gets a matte finish, helps in making the car look aggressive.
  • Renault Duster The rear gets a chrome bar just above the number plate housing on the tailgate. The Duster moniker is embossed on this chrome bar in all caps.
  • Renault Duster Renault is offering the Duster in a total of 7 colour options: Fiery Red, Pearl White, Moonlight Silver, Outback Bronze, Woodland Brown, Slate Grey, and Cayenne Orange.
  • Renault Duster The Duster gets a dark theme on the inside. While the upper and lower parts of the dashboard are black in colour, the middle section gets a relatively lighter treatment. Notice the bold Duster branding on the passenger side of the dashboard.
  • Renault Duster The three-spoke steering wheel is aptly sized but looks a bit outdated. However, the large size of the horn pad minimizes the need to extend your thumb for pressing the horn. Silver inserts have been provided on each spoke of the wheel.
  • Renault Duster The Duster gets cruise control on the top end RxZ variant. These buttons on the steering wheel can be used to control the speed.
  • Renault Duster The instrument cluster gets a three-pod design. The speedometer is housed in the centre, a tachometer is located on the left, while the right most pod houses a monochromatic MID screen that displays information like current speed, average and instantaneous fuel efficiency, and even a gear indicator. The chrome rings on the outside look tasteful.
  • Renault Duster Steering-mounted audio and phone controls are available on the RxL, RxS and RxZ variants. However, they are placed behind the wheel, below the right side stalk. This placement isn't very ergonomic.
  • Renault Duster An automatic climate control is available on the top of the line RxZ variant, with the lower trims getting a manual AC with heater. The buttons are laid out in a funky manner, and offer good feedback and accuracy. No screen readout for the mode and air temperature though.
  • Renault Duster A couple of cup holders are located just ahead of the gear lever. Also seen here is the drive mode selector knob available on the all wheel drive (AWD) variants.
  • Renault Duster The Duster is available with automatic transmission options on the petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol gets a CVT (continuously variable transmission) unit, while the diesel comes with an AMT (automated manual transmission).
  • Renault Duster The RxS and RxZ variants come with an integrated touchscreen infotainment system that supports MP3, AM, FM, USB and AUX-in sources. It also gets Bluetooth for audio streaming and telephonic functions. Meanwhile, the RxL trim gets a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth.
  • Renault Duster The base-spec STD variant comes with front power windows, while all higher variants get front & rear power windows with illuminated switches. The range-topping RxZ variant also gets auto up/down and anti-pinch function for the driver side.
  • Renault Duster Height-adjustable front seatbelts are available only on the top of the line RxZ variant.
  • Renault Duster Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist (BA) are available on all variants except the entry level STD trim. However, dual front airbags (driver and passenger) are offered only on the RxS and RxZ variants, with the RxL trim getting just a single (driver side) airbag.
  • Renault Duster The Duster is available with two engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol rated at 106PS and 142Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel that churns out 110PS and 245Nm of peak torque.
  • Renault Duster All FWD (front wheel drive) variants of the Duster come with a boot space of 475 litres, while the AWD (all wheel drive) models get a luggage area of 410 litres.
  • Renault Duster Seen here are the dual tone seats of the Duster Adventure edition. The regular versions get a more subtle colour treatment.
  • Renault Duster This mobile car charger is a part of the long list of self-branded car accessories that are available as an extra payable add-on with the Duster.
  • Renault Duster The pedals are aptly spaced out. However, there is limited space on the left of the clutch pedal to place your left foot. A dead pedal is sorely missed here.
  • Renault Duster The front seats get a lever on the side that can even be used by the rear passengers to adjust the lean angle.
  • Renault Duster Seen here is the microphone housing for the telephonic functions as well as smartphone voice recognition, which is available only on iOS devices.

  • Renault Duster The Duster gets two cabin lights, one on the front section of the roof and one on the middle section.
  • Renault Duster Only the RxL, RxS and RxZ variants of the Renault Duster come with rear centre armrest with integrated cup holders.

Duster interior & exterior images

  • Interior
Duster Exterior Images

Good Drive and smooth. If you go on a long drive you feel a better experience on Renault duster 85ps RXS.

    Best performance car
Quite satisfied with Renault Duster AMT, the most economic SUV in the Indian market. Better performance than Creta. Looking better than Terrano.

    Good car but average service
Car is quite good, everything that I expected of it, but the service needs to improve a lot, Renault should look into that.

Super mileage and 6 gear car..
Excellent in class.. with stability and 4 wheel drive.. the negative are the advanced features like the small touch screen, 2 airbags only. Still very good car for City drive and hill station.. the 6 gear is the best feature with good power and stability. The mileage of 20km/l is awesome.
