- Renault Pulse A Nice Car Which Failed To Leave Its Mark
I really loved the car since the day I first test drove it. Renault Pulse is one of the finest compact cars that one would love to drive. It has been a great experience driving my pulse on long journeys, highway performance is also good as the acceleration is quite amazing, so overtaking is not an issue. Renault Pulse features sporty front radiator grills and headlamps while the interiors give amazing fresh appeal. In terms of space, the cabin is quite comfortable, especially at the rear. Pulse is loaded with features like electronic power steering, automatic headlamps, remote sensing auto mirrors and electrically adjustable ORVMs. There are few amenities in the safety department too with the car getting driver's side airbags and ABS with EBD. Pulse is powered by 1.5L diesel mill that can churn the output of 63bhp and 160Nm of torque. Renault Pulse is always called as the copy of Micra, but this car has its own appeal. It gives a very different feel which Micra don't have. Unfortunately, since Pulse is not a popular car in India and with much better options available such as Swift, Grand i10, and Tiago, the sales have been dwindling for a long time. So, it is unable to keep pace with the contemporaries.Read More
- Pulse packs a punch in performance as well as interiors
The Renault pulse,Nissan Micra's lookalike sports front sporty grills and headlamps. The car looks great with new fresh interiors. It is also equipped with climate control which is a rare feature in this price tag.The car has a crash test rating of 4.5 stars and also has a driver seat airbag. One missing thing in the safety front is Anti-lock braking system. The car has some features that you can't even think of in this price tag are the Anti-pinch windows, rear windshield de-fogger and wipers. The climate controlled AC is quite powerful and cools the cabin in few seconds. As far is performance is concerned this sporty machine pours pure thrust with even a slight press on the throttle.Gear shifts are smooth ,although the clutch pedal felt stiff. The steering feels very light and you can handle the car easily in any traffic. The turning radius is also good and you can easily steer the car through a U turn. Overall the car is is a perfect 5-seater family hatchback with a 1197 CC engine that gives 76 PS of power .The car has ample boot space that is enough to pack stuff for a weekend trip.Leg room and head room felt comfortable for even a 6'2" guy like me .If you are planning for a new hatchback ,go for it .This car performs in highways and cities alike.Read More

- My Pulse - Literally!
Well, to start with the good points about my pulse - Driving comfort, Peppy & Powerful Engine (1500 cc), Mileage, Maintenance, Front shape, Brand Renault, Almost negligible engine noise inside cabin, negligible car vibration, Unique (as not much sold in India), Base model has driver airbag, Electrically controlled side mirrors, Fantastic company fitted sound system, Solid Suspension, Though ABS not available but brakes are super powerful (no chance of skidding). Now coming to few but important down points. Resale value(Guessing), Car tires (Company fitted) are not of famous international brands so tire pressure needs to be checked very frequently, few service centers, and surely dashboard.Read More
- My Pulse
I was looking for a small car which can easily negotiate the city traffic and has a reasonably powerful engine. After checking a lot of cars I decided to go for Renault Pulse because this hatchback is compact in size, which helps me to move easily and efficiently in city traffic. The engine of this car provides me with an adequate power to easily go for intercity travel daily. The looks are great and the car is also comfortable. It gives a decent mileage so is not quite heavy on my purse. This car does not disappoint you on any level since it looks good, has amazing features like automatic headlamps, smart lock system, trip computer, automatic air conditioning and a very good dashboard. I am really happy with this car and would recommend this to anyone who wants a good hatchback full of features at an affordable price and good after sales service.Read More
- Best car for City and Highway
Look and Style: I don't say the car is too stylish when compared to Maruti and Hyundai. Comfort: I traveled with my family twice in 6 months to my native of around 800km. I never felt tired. Moreover, I speeded up to 130km/Hr on NH. I never felt any vibration inside the car. Pickup: This is my first car. I am feeling the Horsepower comparable to other diesel cars. Mileage: During purchase, it was 19km/hr. Now, it is close to one year, crossed 10k kms. I am getting 21km/hr which is near to the ARAI which claims 23km/hr. Best Features: Renault is providing extra features at this cost. It is not comparable with Nissan Micra too where the cost is more for the same feature. Needs to improve: Interior design needs to improve. Interior plastic parts to be rigid. Overall Experience: I felt it is very nice premium hatchback car with those features, there is no other car like this in this segment.Read More
- The best car to have
It has been a year now that I am using Renault Pulse and it has been a very good experience. I did not face any service issues or problems with my car. It looks well and it works well. This car has all the required features like ABS, EBD, brake assist, power windows and comfortable cabin. Although the main safety feature Airbags are missing but, apart from this, it has a great feature list. The seating comfortability is also good, it doesn't look cramped if 5 people are sitting in the car. It has great sufficient head and legroom to make you feel comfortable during the ride. The boot space is enough, the cabin is silent while driving, and even for a diesel car, it is not very loud. I like the pickup and handling of the car. The interiors could have been a little better but you cannot complain since they are quite decent. In its price range, pulse is a good car to go for and will be a reliable ride for a long time.Read More
- Best Compact Car In The Market
Look and Style - Pulse has a manly look and I think it looks best in Blue and Red. I own a blue one. It has great style statement on the road and my wife found it adorable, another reason for me to buy it. The car is at par in terms of exterior and looks very good as compared to the Micra, Alto and Wagon .R Comfort- It is a very comfortable car, 5 people can sit comfortably in the car. The leg room and head room is good and there is no cramping in the rear seat. Luggage space and storage space in the car is appropriate and gives nothing to complain about. For long journey also it is convenient and comfortable. As a family car is the best option out there. Pickup - This diesel variant produces 63 bhp power at max and that is more than enough for city commute and even on the highways for overtaking. Though diesel, it is very good for handling and driving in traffic. It does not complain about top speed as well. The cabin is silent until above 120 kmph. Mileage - The engine is very fuel efficient. It gives around 19kmpl in the city and 21kmpl on the highways. I think it is a very efficient car and I am very happy with its performance. Best Features - ABS, keyless entry, boot lid remote, steering mounted audio controls, Bluetooth enabled nav system, steering adjustment tilt, driver seat adjustment. Needs to improve - Airbags will always be an addition to the safety perspective, there could be more options with upholstery, it could be made to look more manly on the outside. Overall Experience - Excellent experience with this car. After sales was also good, the car is low on maintenance and overall achieves its purpose.Read More
