Latest Update: The Tata Harrier EV has been spied revealing its electric motor setup. In the related news, Tata has also revealed the launch timeline of the Harrier EV.
Launch: The launch of the Harrier EV is expected in January 2025.
Prices: The Harrier EV is expected to start at Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Seating Capacity: The Harrier EV can seat up to 5 passengers.
Battery, Motor and Range: The Harrier EV, based on the OMEGA Arc platform, could come with a battery pack bigger than that in the Nexon. The Harrier EV will have a dual-motor setup with an all-wheel drivetrain and could offer a range of more than 500 km (claimed).
Features: Key features will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone automatic AC, ventilated front seats, a 6-way power driver’s seat, a 4-way powered co-driver seat, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof (with mood lighting), and a gesture-enabled powered tailgate.
Safety: In terms of passenger safety, it will likely get up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and hill-hold and hill-descent control. The Harrier EV could also use advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Rivals: The Tata Harrier EV will take on the Mahindra XUV.e8 while being a premium alternative to the Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV.
