Toyota bZ4X

Latest Update: Toyota’s first electric SUV, the bZ4X, has been showcased at the Auto Expo 2023.

Launch: The bZ4X could be launched by April 2023.

Price: It is expected to be priced at Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Seating Capacity: The bZ4X offers to seat up to five passengers.

Battery, Motor and Range: It comes with two battery pack options: 71.4kWh and 72.8kWh. The electric SUV gets both front and all-wheel drivetrains that churns out up to 217PS and 265Nm. With this setup, it offers a range of up to 405km (WLTP).

Charging: With a 150kW DC fast charger, its battery can be refilled from nought to 80 per cent in 30 minutes.

Features: The Toyota electric SUV packs a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a digital driver’s display, wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and a nine-speaker JBL sound system.

Safety: Passenger safety is ensured by eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS features like blind spot monitoring, lane departure assist, front and rear parking assist and adaptive cruise control.

Rivals: If launched, it will be a rival to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6.
