Best Premium Compact SUV

As I already have an Innova for family and shopping trips, my wife and I were looking for a compact premium SUV for city driving which can also reflect personality and style. My first choice was Audi as I was driving an Audi A6 when I was in the Gulf. Moreover, Audi portrays subdued elegance without being showing-off in an inimitable style. I researched for six months and finally zeroed in on Audi Q3 after evaluating the other two German peers viz. Mercedes and BMW. I chose Audi Q3 because of its sporty and compact looks with ample ground clearance to drive in the infamously narrow and uneven Indian roads. Competitive price, which could not be matched by its rivals. Good after-sales-service, though they don't offer a service facility in Trivandrum, Kerala (the nearest service facility is in Kochi which is 200 KM away from my place). Feature rich interiors, which comes with additional pricing in rival products. Inherent German breed and brand image, which can not be matched by a Volvo or Land Rover or Jaguar

AUDI Q3 : THE POWERFUL AND SAFE MACHINE
I have purchased the Audi Q3 in February 2013, I love my Q3 because the kind of power it deliver is unmatched. when you accelerate, it feels like it will take off from the road to sky and braking power gives the confidence to accelerate it to max level. its been 4 years with 89000kms but still i its performance is like the day one. truly amazing machine. Now Planning to upgrade to Audi Q5. Because i have test ride many other cars like Range rover Discovery , merc and Volvo but none of them are as good as Audi.

    Audi Q3 the compact SUV.
This car is an absolute SUV and is very powerful and its stylish look is very dominating in its price range. Its features are best in its class ( if you compare with BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA class ) . its sun roof and moon roof almost cover the upper body of the car and it is a very divine experience to look out of it from the car.The only problem with the car is that the back seat and boot space is very less.Even Maruti Suzuki Celerio has more space than than Audi Q3.Priced at around 34 Lakh it is a perfect price for people to get into the high class car range.Though i feel the Audi A3 has better features than this car and is priced at around 27 Lakh But again those of you who love SUVs this is a great buy.the best thing about Audi cars is that the rumbling noise of their engines makes you feel quite comfortable and cozy ( specially when driving on highways ). Overall the car is a superb car all though i feel that it is very compact and and ha too much less place in the boot and back seat as even 3 people can hardly sit as compared to celerio or swift dzire or maruti ritz. I feel that its navigation is very good and its A/C is very strong . I dont really like driving to places so i did not buy a cabriolet but those who always drive to places and frequently go for weekend getaways and have a nuclear family can opt for the A3 Cabriolet as its perfect for weekend getaways. though its boot space is capable of carrying 2 big suitcases i feel there could have been some little more space. the good thing is that it does not occupy a lot of space and is very east to park like any other sedan ( for eg:-Honda City ). The electric sun roof opens up and closes quite fast ( in about 15 seconds ).

    Audi q3- highly recommended.
Dear readers. In this review I would like to share my experience with my dad's Audi q3. We bought the premium 2015 face lifted model on October 2015. I had driven it for almost 8000 km and my review is based on that. Let me begin with the exterior design. Q3 is an entry level compact luxury SUV and it indeed looks like one. At 4388mm length, 1831mm width (excluding ORVMs), and 1590mm height (excluding roof aerial), the q3 is compact. The front looks good with the day time running lights on which has a sort of 3D effect (only in premium model) and the Matt finished 3D radiator grille. The premium model which I own has got bi-xenon headlights with automatic dynamic headlight range control. The fog lamps are inserted in the headlight unit itself. In the premium plus model, the headlight unit is LED headlights and the DRLs have different arrangement. Coming to the side, the q3 has a coupe like appearance especially towards the rear. Talking about the rear section, it the best designed part of q3. The LED rear lights looks cool especially at night with the lights on. The premium plus model has got LED dynamic indicators which means the light swipes in the direction of turn. The skid plates at front, rear and sides give a tough look to q3. The outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) with LED turn indicators can be electrically adjusted and the left one automatically adjust to a pre-set position set by the driver as soon as the rear gear is engaged and returns back once disengaged. The 235/55 R17 Pirelli tyres looks great on the cast aluminium wheels. The anodised aluminium roof rails and rear edge spoiler all adds to the Beauty of Audi q3. Now let me move on to the interiors. For the interior colour theme, there are two options- one is black and beige combination and the other is all black theme. I preferred the former choice as it gives a sense of airiness. The dashboard is well layout and gives a sense of luxury. The 3D aluminium tangent inlays looks and feels nice. The glove compartment is not very big but still being able to store few important items. The AC vents with aluminium inserts looks good. There is a MMI (multimedia information) display at the centre of the dashboard which pops up from the dashboard when pressed manually. Through this MMI display we can adjust the settings for car, radio, media, telephone, etc. The steering wheel is 4 spoke, leather covered and has controls for voice commanding, call accepting, volume controlling, radio operating etc. Talking about the interior space, q3 is a five seater but best to accommodate four. The leather seats are comfortable. The front driver seat can be electrically adjusted whereas the front passenger seat can only be adjusted manually. There is 4 way lumbar support (electric) for both driver and front passenger seats. The rear seat backrest can be folded 40:60 or fully. An adjustable centre armrest is provide at the front but it is absent at the rear. The front and back legroom will be okay for people of average height but will be difficult for tall people. Same is the case of headroom. Dual zone auto air conditioning keeps the cabin and the glove compartment cool. The boot has sufficient space for carrying 2 suitcases and a few check in bags as well, in addition to the spare wheel that is hidden inside the boot. Talking about the technology, there is a Driver's Information System (DIS) which gives necessary information to the driver like digital speedometer, on board computer, efficiency program, radio stations, etc. Voice commands can be given to perform functions like make a call, select radio stations, help, etc. Hands free calls are really useful. Audi sound system is very good. I feel little unhappy as there is no MMI satellite navigation. When I asked at the Audi showroom, they told me that currently the navigation is not available for regular q3 models in India. But once they release it in SD card form, we can purchase it at extra cost. Now comes the best part- driving the Audi q3. I must say I am truly satisfied the way Audi q3 responds to the driver, be it acceleration, braking, steering control or anything else. We can select the mode of driving- comfort, dynamic and auto. The steering is very light at slow speeds and becomes tight as speed increases. The seven speed automatic gear shifting is very smooth. We can change the gear to manual mode if required. Paddle shifts are available for the premium plus model which adds the sportiness of q3. Ride comfort is also nice. Audi's suspension is well known for its comfort factor. The car offers decent fuel efficiency figures. Company claims 15.3 km/l. I usually get around 11-12km/l and once I managed to achieve 17km/l but that was on highway. So dear readers, if you are planning to buy an entry level compact luxury SUV, I recommend Audi q3.

Awesome SUV For The Off Roadies In Style
The Q3 has been my favourite amongst compact SUVs. With competition coming only from the BMW X1, the Q3, with its more upmarket interior and exterior was the compact SUV to buy which I think is awesome. The major look on the Q3 is to the front of the car. The grille is a wider chrome surround which touches the headlights on each side. The lower air intakes are enlarged slightly, and the Q3 also now comes with the option of LED headlamps on the top variant. Rest of the variants gets Xenon headlamps instead of the halogen ones on the current car. The wheel arch surrounds and door sills are body coloured on the base model (they used to be black plastic), as is the rear bumper design, new alloy wheel designs finish off the refresh. Updated MMI system. High-quality cabin and it's spacious too. Definitely a buy.

    Awesome Car
Look and Style: Great looks and curvy style, especially I like its size. Comfort: It gives a great comfort, smooth driving and high seats make it a pleasure. Pickup: Sometimes the pickup zips through due to its heavy engine. Mileage: Fuel efficiency is good, I am getting around 14 kmpl. Best Features: The best feature is its smoother engine and the smooth driving as well. Needs to improve: They should improve the cabin space. Overall Experience - Overall experience has been wonderful for me.
