Diesel Version - Skoda Kamiq
Diesel Version - Skoda Kamiq
Should get a diesel version. As the rivals, Kia Seltos and MG Hector followed by Tata Harrier have a better market in India. Have to wait for Indian features on the dashboard which, most of it would be a wow factor. Looks and feature-wise for European version I would rate this car 5 stars. Rear passenger space will be the worry factor in India.

- Skoda Kamiq - Is It A Creta Killer?Skoda has recently unveiled its brand new compact SUV at the Geneva Motor Show. This is the production-spec model of the Vision X concept Skoda showcased earlier. The Indian model will likely share a lot of details from the new Kamiq. As compact SUVs are currently the talk of the town in the Indian auto space, it's no surprise that Skoda will bring this car to counter the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti S Cross and Renault Captur. Talking about the details, the Kamiq looks absolutely stunning with wide gaping grille and sleek headlights sticking to the Skoda traits. The cabin has sharp styling sharing cues from Kodiaq and Karoq SUVs. The car gets 9.2-inch freestanding touchscreen unit and optional virtual cockpit. In terms of power, it will be available in two petrol and one diesel engine in the international markets. The petrol engine line-up will contain 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI units while the diesel one will feature 1.6L unit currently working in many other Skoda cars. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 10 lakhs but I don't think Skoda will price it in this range. I think the price range would start from around Rs. 12-13 lakhs. But still, in this price range, it will be able to beat the heavyweights in the segment. Fingers crossed.Read MoreWas this review helpful?YesNo
