Volvo EX30 latest updates
Latest Update: Volvo has confirmed that the EX30 will be launched in India by 2025.
Price: It is expected to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Seating Capacity: The EX30 can seat up to five passengers.
Battery, Electric Motor, and Range: It gets a choice between two battery packs and three powertrain options globally:
- A 49 kWh battery powering a single motor mounted on the rear axle that produces 272 PS and 343 Nm. It has a WLTP-claimed range of 337 km.
- A bigger 65 kWh battery powering a single motor mounted on the rear axle that produces 272 PS and 343 Nm. However, it has a WLTP-claimed range of 476 km.
- A 65 kWh battery powering two electric motors on either axle, producing a combined output of 428 PS and 543 Nm. It has a WLTP-claimed range of 450 km.
Features: It is likely to get a 12.3-inch vertically oriented touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay functionality, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and dual-zone climate control.
Safety: Its safety net can include multiple airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including driver attentiveness alert, park assist, and collision avoidance system.
Rivals: The Volvo EX30 will directly rival the Hyundai Ioniq 5 while being a similarly priced alternative to the BYD Seal. It will serve as a premium option to the BYD Atto 3.
