Price: The BMW X1 is priced from Rs 45.90 lakh to Rs 51.60 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).

Variants: It can be had in 3 variants: sDrive18i xLine, sDrive 18i M Sport and sDrive18d M Sport.

Colours: The new X1 is offered in 6 exterior colour shades: Alpine White (Non-Metallic), Black Sapphire (Metallic), Phytonic Blue (Metallic), M Portimao Blue (Metallic), Storm Bay (Metallic) and Space Silver (Metallic).

Seating Capacity: BMW offers it in a 5-seater configuration.

Engine and Transmission: The third-gen X1 comes with 2 engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol engine (136PS/230Nm) and a 2-litre diesel unit (150PS/360Nm), both paired to a 7-speed DCT. The former can go from nought to 100kmph in 9.2 seconds, while the latter does the same in 8.9 seconds.

Features:  BMW’s entry-level SUV boasts a curved screen setup (a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a 10.7-inch infotainment system) which is based on BMW's latest iDrive operating system 8. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, an optional 205 Watt, 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and electrically adjustable front seats with memory and massage functions.

Safety: It comes with multiple airbags, cornering brake control (CBC) and ABS with brake assist function. It further includes driver-assistance systems such as lane departure warning and active feedback, front collision warning and manual speed limit assist.

Rivals: The X1 rivals the Mercedes-Benz GLA and Audi Q3.
