Made a wrong decision by opting high cost Mahindra E20

    1. Just 6 months old car, already facing 2nd time issue with the battery. For the 2nd time i have given it for servicing. It doesn't get full charged and battery gets drained out automatically without using. 2. When there was an issue with battery, I had to call to mahindra hamesha, and informed about the issue. With 4 days continuous follow up no one called me, finally they gave me India Garage Manager number and then the issue was escalated and then i got the call from the dealer service station 3.Shock absorber is pathetic in E2O, i bought the car as i had back pain but due to the bad shock absorber in the car my back pain is increasing. 4.Marketing team had informed, with 100% charging you can drive 120 KM. According to me with 100% charging i can only drive max 30-40 KMs inside Bangalore. When i informed the service station people they are telling u cant get 120 KM only 100 KM but when i told even 100 KM i'm not able to get with 100% battery she informs with AC you have driven. But while purchasing marketing team had informed you can use AC whenever we apply break the battery gets charged and that is enough for AC. 5. If i don't use the vehicle for 1 day, 10% charging will be reduced automatically. 6.On turning on AC, the sound is really horrible. 7. Once my battery was running out, I contacted toll free number for road assistance they told will call back it's more than 5 months till now no one has contacted - pathetic service and wrong promise 8. I contacted India Garage people manger with all this and asked for re-sale, they told they dont have that option. so there is no re-sale option for this vehicle in their own show room and even exchange with other Mahindra car is also not possible. 9. This car is only fit for clean roads and a city with no traffics- bad option for Bangalore roads and traffic. Only positive about the car is look is good and very less space is required for parking. With this, Made a very very bad choice by choosing high cost E2ORead More

Very Good Economical City Toy Car

Exterior: Very nice, scratch free due to the quality of material used, no scratch on the car in the last 15 months [ in spite of adequate episodes], looks are attractive. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Space is adequate for 4 persons. Luggage space is adequate for the city for a family shopping, can be easily increased as the rear seat can be easily folded, the sound system is good but could be better, touchscreen sound system, GPS, Bluetooth, and what not--the car is absolutely fully loaded and contains everything available in the market. The accessories could have been lesser to reduce the price and make it cheaper. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Excellent engine performance, it is a like a toy car. Without the boost, the pickup is very good. Automatic makes it an absolute pleasure drive. Very good for the city for a family. After 15 months, very satisfied with the drive. The car does not have a traditional engine and so no oil, clutch or the associated maintenance. There is once a year small service --check up - only. Very economical drive as no gasoline is used. One charge over 5 hours can take it for 100 km [ company says 120 kms]. Ride Quality & Handling: Very good ride even at high speed. Little jumpy at the rear on speed breakers only. Handles well.Read More

    e20

The battery pack takes 5 hours and 10 minutes to get fully charged on a standard 220V 15A socket but the process takes place at a much quicker rate with the Quick2Charge (DC fast charge) station. The car has a top speed of 81 kmph but getting there is quite a task. Once you authenticate the key by bringing it in contact with the start/stop button, you press it and are ready to go. The only way to know that the car is on, is by looking at the instrument panel. A jab of the accelerator pedal is accompanied by a muted whining and relaxed progress. There is absolutely nothing conventional about the little city car's propulsion system when compared to a regular Indian small car. Motive force is courtesy of a rear-mounted electric motor which puts out a modest 19 KW (around 26 PS) at 3,750 rpm and a torque of 53.9 Nm right from the word go all the way up to 3,400 rpm. The system derives electricity from a 48V maintenance free Li-ion battery pack which can be leased from the company to avoid the high procurement cost. The motor is mated to an automatic transmission. Mahindra Reva claims that e2o can travel a good 102 km approx. on a full charge. The fact that we were left with more than 30 km worth of charge even after subjecting the car to a punishing drive of around 70 km (half the distance with AC on)a full charge can easily last for 2-3 days. Ground clearance of 180 mm. It has a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers a comprehensive status of the vehicle, GPS navigation, reverse parking camera, and smartphone connectivity with remote access to the AC. Other noteworthy features include high impact body panels, power windows, keyless entry with start-stop button, regenerative braking and projector headlamps. The Reva rides better than you'd expect a car of its size to, and there is even a 'Boost' mode for squirting it into and out of gaps. The e2o can seat four, and you could coax it all the way to a respectable 80kph. The e2o also gets a reverse camera, Bluetooth, music system and electric ORVMs. this car is more in tune with today's times. but it has been improved in every other way. Mahindra e2o is a well engineered pure electric car which is characterised by a cheerful attitude. It is very efficient, extremely easy to use, comes loaded with modern technology.  Read More

Mahindra e2o NXT latest updates

Mahindra unveiled the refreshed e2o, which is now called the e2o NXT, at the Auto Expo 2018. Read the unveil report here. Featuring an updated design, the electric car is set to be launched later this year. The new car looks a lot more premium than before features an updated specs sheet as well.

On the outside, it flaunts bull-horn LED elements in the headlight and funkier alloy wheels whereas the cabin is gets a bigger, tablet-like touchscreen infotainment unit supporting various connectivity options.

Equipped with a 72V battery, it produces 40PS and 91Nm with a range of 140km on a single charge. However, the long charging time continues to be a pain in the e2o facelift as well; it takes nine hours to attain full charge with a regular charger. With a fast charger, however, the  e2o NXT can be charged to 80 per cent in about 90 minutes.
