Overall Experience After a lot of research on D segment cars, I have finally zeroed in Elantra and Fluence, as both were coming with the same price tag for the high-end version. Other D segment cars are not on the list due to lack of features in the Cruze and higher cost on Jetta or Octavia for the same features that we get in Fluence or Elantra. In terms of engine, of course, we cannot zoom on the Indian roads at leat for 1km at a stretch. So, the engine is not in my preference. So, finally, in between Elantra or Fluence, I have chosen Fluence only because of its Ride and Comfort it offers on Indian roads and vehicle stability at higher speeds. Fluence E4 get endless feature list which makes drive comfortable. Front seats are big enough to feel comfortable and both driver and passenger seats got the height adjustable option with lumbar support on the driver seat. The music system is 3D surround with 8 speakers and the clarity is very good. Volume control on the steering wheel is cumbersome for initial days of driving but once used, it is convenient to handle. When it comes with AC, no need to mention it is dual zone and cooling of the cabin is very good. The car has a lot of safety features which ensures that the drive is comfortable and safe. Overall I would recommend this car.Read More

I made the mistake of opting for a Renault Fluence (over it's more established competitors like Toyota Corolla Altis and Hyundai Elantra), and would strongly advise all of you considering buying Renault products to think twice before you go to their showroom. Their products seem to be selling 'despite their sales team' not because of the sales team! 1st date promised for car delivery: March 19, 2013 - At the last moment they backed out saying that they have only received a booking order from the leasing company and have raised the Invoice, but don't have a delivery order. 2nd date promised for car delivery: March 26, 2013 - Dealer backed out again on the morning of March 26th saying he only had delivery order, but the final payment was still being processed. 3rd date promised for car delivery: No more promises! Am seriously considering asking my leasing company to stop the payment and opt for a more established brand like Toyota. Read More

November 27, 2014: The Next-Gen Fluence has been digitally rendered, and the car looks way more sporty than the current one. It was spied a few days back on French soil but was covered in heavy camouflage. It is expected to be unveiled sometime in 2016. Nothing could be said about the Indian launch of the vehicle, but we can expect it to come by the end of 2016.
