Overview
You have to be pretty confident about your product before you decide to call it ‘Superb’, don’t you? Nearly after a decade and a half since we first saw the big Czech, it’s back in an all-new avatar Its predecessor cemented Skoda’s premium appeal, offering quality, luxury and unparalleled space for the money. The new one promises to be better than ever before. Well, is it?
Verdict
The third-gen Skoda Superb simply approves its old recipe of space, pace and grace. There’s practically nothing to dislike about the car, save for a slightly gruff engine note. There’s enough space for five occupants, and the massive 625-litre boot will swallow their luggage whole as well.
The plethora of tech is enough to keep a millennial busy, and the engines feel in their element as well. If you have close to Rs 35 lakh to spend on car and are looking at entry-level luxury cars such as the Mercedes-Benz CLA or the Audi A3, we recommend you take a look at the Superb.

- Loaded with features - touchscreen audio system, ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, sunroof, 8 airbags etc.
- The diesel engine gets slightly vocal on the move. Dampens the premium experience.
- No hybrid variant on offer - both the Camry and the Accord offer hybrid tech.

Latest Update: Skoda has unveiled the Superb facelift at Auto Expo 2020.
Skoda Superb Variants and Prices: The Superb is available in two variants: Style and L&K, which are priced from Rs 25.99 lakh to Rs 30.99 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
Skoda Superb Engine: Skoda offers the Superb with two engine options: a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates 177PS of power and 350Nm of torque with a 6-speed AT and a 1.8-litre petrol unit in two states of tune. The higher-spec version puts out 180PS and 320Nm and comes mated to a 6-speed MT. On the other hand, the lower-spec version is good for 180PS/250Nm and comes with a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic). The fuel economy figures for the Superb are as follows:
Petrol MT: 14.64kmpl
Petrol AT: 14.81kmpl
Diesel AT: 18.66kmpl
Skoda Superb Features: It offers features such as seven airbags, ABS with EBD, TC, HLA, front and rear parking sensors and hands-free parking. What’s more, it also gets a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, 12-way power adjustable front seats, 610W 12-speaker Canton sound system and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
