Toyota Mirai Latest Update: India’s transport minister, Nitin Gadkari studies the Toyota Mirai as a daily driver. The Mirai is part of a pilot study for Hydrogen EVs, and you can read more about that here.
Toyota Mirai Launch: The Mirai is unlikely to come to India.
Toyota Mirai Price: Toyota retails the hydrogen fuel cell electric sedan from Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom) in other countries.
Toyota Mirai Variants: There are three trims available in the international markets.
Toyota Mirai Engine and Transmission: It uses hydrogen powered fuel cell technology that generates energy for the electric motor to generate 182PS/406Nm. On a full tank of hydrogen fuel, which has a capacity of 5.2kg of H2 gas, the Mirai can run up to 646km.
Toyota Mirai Features: The carmaker offers a host of features including a 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless charger, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, head up display and digital rear view mirrors.
Toyota Mirai Safety: Safety of the passengers is ensured by 7 airbags, hill assist, brake assist, ABS with EBD and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Toyota Mirai Rival: It rivals the likes of the Tesla Model S in the international market.
