One of the most impressive sports car maker, Caterham Cars Limited makes two seater light weight cars for racing purposes across the world This company was founded way back in year 1957. the fist light weight sports car from this company was the Lotus Seven Series 1, which was launched in the same year of its establishing. This car was designed by the great Mr. Colin Chapman and was immediately a runaway hit with the car aficionados across the world. The company then continued with its golden period and went on to make their Series 2, which was in year 1960, then the Series 3 made in year 1968 and lastly the Series 4, which was launched in year 1970. With all these cars being made the company also moved quite a few places in the country. To begin with, the Caterham Cars Limited was first established in the town of Caterham, which is situated in the county of Surrey in the United Kingdom. The company had their head office along with a manufacturing facility and also a huge showroom, which was having their fantastic range of cars on display. Then this company moved on to a new place, where its factory as well as the administration department was shifted in year, 1987. This new place was in the town of Dartford, which is located in the county of Kent in the United Kingdom. But at the same time, this company also maintained a full fledged showroom as well as a service center in Caterham, which is closer to the railway station. Presently, the company has a dealership just outside the Leicester County, where there is a massive showroom. Apart from this, the company also has a temporary facilities, which are located near the town of Crawley as the showroom was closed as it was sold. In year, 2012 some functions of this company were setup in a brand new unit, which is located near the town of Leafield. This latest production and assembly unit is now expected to bring in the latest models of the Caterhan Cars, which will be sent to the global car markets.The Caterham brand was on sale in India. It’s famous for its Caterham 7 models. The manufacturer 28.63 Lakh. There is no official word from the manufacturer on its re-entry into the Indian market.

General Motors (GM) has announced that it plans to continue operations at its Halol plant till March 2017. For the time being, it plans to produce the new Tavera from its facility while the future options for the Halol plant are still under review. Sale of the plant is also on cards.
