Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH was founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach with his son Karl Maybach as director The company was originally a subsidiary of Luftschiffbau Zeppelin/GmbH and was itself known asThe company first built an experimental car in 1919, with the first car with the first production model introduced two years later at the Berlin Motor Show. Between 1921 and 1940, the company produced various classic opulent vehicles. The company also continued to build heavy duty diesel engines for marine and rail purposes.The Maybach brand was on sale in India. It’s famous for its Maybach 57 S, Maybach 62 S models. The manufacturer 4.85 Cr. There is no official word from the manufacturer on its re-entry into the Indian market.

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the Maybach premium luxury sub-brand in India, today. The company introduced Mercedes-Maybach S600 model in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 2.6 crore (Ex-showroom, Pune). Maybach S600, which according to the claims made by the company, is the quietest car in the world, made its global debut last year. Pre-orders started back in December, 2014 and deliveries for the car began in february 2015.

Daimler AG, the German automotive corporation has released new images of Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, an ultra luxury edition of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Both the S500 and S600 are available on order and comes with a hefty price tag of €134,053.50 (INR 1.05 Crore) for the S500 and €187,841.50 (INR 1.47 Crore ) for the S600.

Maybach, a name that stands as a definition of luxury has come to an end. Though from a business perspective the brand might not have been performing well and there might be n-number of other reasons as well but as a brand with offerings based on Wilhelm Maybach’s philosophy of “to create the very best from the very best”, the end of Maybach is a great loss. Some say that this is a result of poor marketing of the Maybach and some say because the models were priced too high.

If you are talking about luxury cars coming at a discount, it seems like a dream that will never see the light of the day. But as for the world today all those impossible dreams are made possible by the car makers. And the dream has been fulfilled by Maybach, the American auto major. Maybach is going to offer a discount of $100,000. The ultra luxury brand Maybach production, according to reports is going to be ceased and the brand will be the high end Mercedes.
