Merits of the car : Mileage : 12 in city / Highway : 15 (Petrol) Fit and Finish : The dashboard and door panels are made of extremely good quality and the color combination as well is very attractive Storage Spaces : Many storage spaces in the dashboard as well as between the two the front seats and all door pockets which is sufficient for all you need to carry Dashboard layout : The laoyout of the dashboard is very convenient to use with good sized dials for the A/c controls Steering mounted controls : Controls mounted on the steering is very convenient and easy to use and the use of plastic buttons on the steering is of good quality as well, trip meter controls integrated within the steering is first in the segment i guess and is also very convenient to use, bluetooth connectivity is also an added advantage Engine performance : At times you will doubt if the car is really switched on as its extremely silent as well as powerful, pickup is great and gear shifts are not very close and you can really cruise well within the city without changing the gears frequently, clutch is very very light, gear shifts are very smooth, steering is very light and easy to drive in the city. Driving this car is fun and enjoyable if you like driving as it takes very less effort Value for money : Car Seems a value for money buy, as the Comfort : Driver as well as all passengers are comfortable due to the gas shocks used in this car, suspension setup is also good and it will take in all the bumps easily without much effort felt for the passengers Rear A/c vent - A/c is very powerful and having a vent for the rear passengers is an advantage in this car Side view mirrors : Excellent side view mirrors with side indicators looks really stylish, electrically adjustable and fold-able is really convenient to use and handy while driving in tight traffic conditions Demerits or Areas of Improvement : Seating : Seating is very low, it would be great if the seating of the car would be little higher like in the Swift, long journeys would be difficult for those who prefer high seating as it provides more comfort when compared to low seating Rear A/c vent : Due to the space occupied for the A/c vent, the passenger in the center has to adjust their legs on either side of the vent else they would not be comfortable at all, in long journeys this is really an issue as they cannot stretch their legs comfortably as the floor is not flat as well Road presence : Driver unable to see the bonnet or road completely as the seating is too low due to which the driver does not get much confidence while driving this car as the view is compromised as is the case for most cars these days Looks : Though the car really looks good in all angles, it loosing the fluidic style concept of Hyundai, if they change the looks of this car with the fluidic design theme then surely this car will lead the sales registers for sure as it needs a refreshed look soon Overall Hyundai has an excellent car and worth to buy at this price point considering the quality of materials used for the car. Hyundai Grand i10 is an excellent car for city driving due to its compact size, easy gear shifting and driving pleasure. also suitable for women drivers and new drivers. Packed with features, this car has excellent interior quality and practicality. Though simple looks, but has a practical design having almost all features what a premium hatchback has. The Magna model just misses infotainment system otherwise it has all four power windows, keyless entry, rear AC vents, power adjustable ORVM, front fog lamps, leather seats. On the exterior, it has body coloured door handles and ORVMs. The 1.2 L kappa petrol engine is very good in terms of power, smoothness, quietness and mileage. The dashboard leaves a space to install a touchscreen infotainment system with rear parking camera option that is not available in the top Asta variant. with spending a little more, you can get push button start, chrome outside door handles, reverse parking sensors, roof rails, 2DIN audio system with 1GB memory on sportz variant and additional alloy wheels, roof spoiler, abs and driver airbag in Asta variant. The car is priced a bit higher in its segment that is the only con in this car. Also, in this aura of SUV styling this car look quite simple and little old (with no blackened headlamps and missing projector headlamps) as compared to latest KUV 100, Kwid, Baleno etc. If you can spend a 50-60 k more and no constraint of size, then go for KUV 100, Swift or Baleno. Grand i10 is priced from 4.89 Lacs onwards. but Hyundai dealerships are offering near to 1 lac discount on top end diesel variants which you will miss in the latest models. Also, Hyundai dealerships and after sales services are very good compared to companies like Renault and Mahindra. Actually better than Maruti Suzuki. Also the build quality of the car is good. the diesel variant is a bit noisier and lacks the punch of power mainly because Hyundai is offering 1.1 l 3 cylinder engine. other competitors like swift and Baleno get 1.3 l 4 cylinder engine with much better performance. color options available are pure white(solid), sleek silver(metallic), golden orange(metallic), stardust(metallic), moonlight grey(metallic), wine red(metallic), black and beige. Though a bit old and overpriced, this car still has been a prior choice for customers because of its never ending features list and the fun to drive this car in city conditions.
