100,000th Ford Fiesta marks a special moment for Ford Motors

On Wednesday, 5th May, Ford India released the 100,000th unit of Ford Fiesta from its Chennai plant. The moment marked a great sales season for Ford India as well as for the Indian car industry that has recorded great sales in the months of March & April. Ford Fiesta has been a popular sedan in India since its launch and the rolling out of its 100,000th unit just embarks the point. Michael Boneham, Ford India President and Managing Director said that this event is indeed a new milestone achieved by Ford motors. He also added that Ford Fiesta has been extremely sought after sedan in India and was designed especially keeping the Indian automobile buyers in mind.

April'2010 has been a great month of sales for automobile makers across the country including Ford India, Maruti, Tata and many other major auto makers. Ford India recorded sales of 7,509 units in April 2010 as compared to a low 2,034 units during April 2009.

Boneham exclaimed that the performance and popularity of Ford Fiesta has always made Ford Motors proud and it continue to hold a significant position in Ford's portfolio. This popularity and sales figures indicate the fact that Ford Fiesta has been delivering great performance, features and quality to its owners. Ford India has a diverse portfolio comprising of Ford Figo, Ikon, Endeavour and Fiesta.
