Audi India is all geared up to launch the new Audi TT sports car in the Indian car market tomorrow. This new Audi TT will be very different from its precursor with all-new interiors, exteriors and engine specifications. The 2012 version of Audi TT gets an entirely new stylized front end with new bumper, grille, headlamps and fog lamps. The fog lights are affixed with LED day time running lights. The new Audi TT also gets new taillights and diffuser at the rear end. The side profile of the car has not the iconic coupe lines. Globally, the 2012 Audi TT sportscar would have a lot of engine options like, a 1.8 liter, 160 BHP 250 Nm, TSI turbo petrol engine, a 2 liter 211 BHP 350 Nm, TFSI turbo petrol engine and 2 liter, 170 BHP 350 Nm, TDI turbo diesel engine. There would be an option in the transmission type also, a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed dual clutch DSG automatic gearbox. All the top-end models would come with Quattro all wheel drive system.

The new Audi TT is light-weighted too since a lot of aluminum has been used in its structure. The 2012 version of Audi TT will come to India as CBU (completely built unit) and the engine would be the 2-liter TFSI petrol engine that drives 211 BHP of power and 350 Nm of torque. The Union Budget 2012-13 increased the customs duty by 15 percent i.e. 75% from 60%, so this car would be slightly more expensive. Audi TT will be the first model that Audi will launch in the year 2012 and after that an entry-level crossover is expected to be launched. This entry-level crossover is the Audi Q3 which will compete with the segment topper BMW X1.
