2012 BMW 3 Series sneaked

There is a new twist in the story, we were speculating about the BMW 3 Series since its launch was announced to be in October but recently, the real BMW 3 became visible while a commercial was being filmed in Barcelona earlier this week. A completely new and distinct image of this car has come out which is much different from its spied images. These new images were taken outdoors and have completely turned the BMW 3 Series review upside down.

The front light clusters of all new BMW 3 Series are extended to its grille which is refurbished to take kidney like shape. The new car has features which do not seem to have been imbibed from the 5-series as earlier speculated. The front-end of new 3-series is unexpectedly quite distinct from it. The full-width air ducts and LED light strips have been placed in the lower part of its front bumper. This establishes that the car has much lower stance and has wider looks than its current ally. Its front has been designed with a completely different approach.

The BMW 3 Series features at it’s rear-end are set higher. Even its sides are more heavily sculpted to give a predominant look to its shoulder line. Besides this, it has a very sleek body design along its wing mirrors. The car has well defined wheel arches and higher upright boot line. Coming to the bottom of the new BMW 3-series, we discover that car’s platform has been completely refurbished again. There is a 50 mm wheelbase; tracks are 15mm wider at the rear and 20 mm wider at the front.

All the changes especially the dimensional ones have been made to give enhanced interior space in this car. The suspensions have been changed at both front and the rear. In the front, a double wishbone suspension has been set-up and at the rear, a multi-link suspension with variable damper control has been featured. The car also has an efficient electro-mechanical steering control.BMW 3-series will get tough competition in Indian market from existing luxury and premium cars such as Audi A4, Volvo S60 and Mercedes C-Class.
