Frankfort Motor Show is going to see a lot of action from auto giants across the globe and Fiat is no exception. Fiat is set to launch an updated version of its very popular hatch, Fiat Punto. It is expected that the company will tag Fiat Punto 2012 price at Rs 7.5 lakh. It is speculated that Fiat Punto 2012 is the 'Fiat Grande Punto Evo' on which Fiat was working for long.

The B+ segment hatchback, Fiat Punto 2012 will be powered by an 85bhp 0.9 TwinAir turbo and another evolutionary 1.3 Multijet engine generating a torque of 200 Nm. The new engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission control. A new technology called as the MultiAir technology has been incorporated in its engine and will be seen in all the Fiat engines. Another feature to look forward to in Fiat Punto 2012 is its Blue&Me – TomTom, a portable satellite navigation unit that enables the driver to use telephone and navigation functionalities through a colored touchscreen.

On its exteriors, Fiat Punto 2012 will carry many new features. On the frond end, Fiat has spent on painting the bumper with same metallic colour as of body which comes with three options to choose from i.e. Turquoise, Ruby Red and Graphite Grey. 15 inch alloy rims are added on wheels which will certainly restyle them in new Fiat Punto 2012. Fiat will offer three new trim levels (Pop, Easy and Lounge) in cabin with a unique upholstery and recognizable looks. This is for the first time Fiat is offering such personalization options with its car.
