2013 Fiat Panda unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show

The Italian manufacturer has unveiled the latest version of Fiat Panda in 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Fiat Panda, which was initially introduced in 1980’s by Fiat is now going to be offered as a 2013 Fiat Panda Face-lift in the European markets by 2012. However, the Indian launch of Fiat Panda is still speculated. With Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Punto hatchback the Italian manufacturer has managed to receive just lukewarm response from the Indian consumers. Though the Fiat Panda launch is not confirmed in India, the auto major is most likely to benefit from the introduction.

Indian car market is well-known for its hatchback demand and a small car appeals to the Indian consumers most effectively. Fiat Panda, if launched is likely to compete against Volkswagen UP, which is also expected to be launched next year. The hatchback is likely to be introduced in both petrol and diesel engines. The Fiat Panda specifications reveal a small car with a 1.3 L diesel engine to generate a peak power of 69 Bhp and 75 Bhp depending on the variants. The petrol engine in the hatchback is likely to be a Twin air two-cylinder engine to generate a peak power of 65 Bhp.
