2014 Indian Auto Expo draws more than half a million visitors

The 12th Indian Auto Expo, the 'Mecca' of automobiles in India, witnessed a gathering of more than half a million this year. Precisely, the footfall was nearly 5,61,000 in its 7 days of operation, SIAM says.
On 7th, the first public day, nearly 75,000 people crossed the gate of the new location, the Indian Expo Mart Greater Noida. The weekend falling in the exhibition days recorded the maximum number of avid auto followers, with figures stands at 2.3 lakh people. The following working day after the weekend, Monday 10th , saw nearly 1.05 lakh, isn't that a working day! On the last day of the Expo, 11th, SIAM recorded 90,000 visitors. Finally the Expo ended on a good note, both exhibitors and visitors, liked the new venue as it was systematic and well organized.
This is the biggest platform for Indian as well as foreign automotive manufacturers to showcase their respective vehicles. 2014 Auto Expo was the biggest automotive event in the country till date. The Expo witnessed 60 launches including 6 world debut of concept vehicles namely, the futuristic Renault KWLD, Tata Nexon and Honda Vision XS-1; and Ready production designs like Datsun Redi Go.
