Few days back, BMW released a teaser image of the all-new MINI Cooper, which is scheduled to make its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Now, for the first time the 2014 Cooper Convertible has been spotted.
WorldCarFans managed to click the vehicle while it was transported on the back of a truck. The Cooper Convertible looks identical to that of the standard model that will be unveiled on November 18th at the LA Show. It features a soft top and an evolutionary front facade, which resembles the Vision Concept.
The 2014 Mini Cooper Convertible likely to carryover the engine configuration from the current model. It will be offered in two petrol and one diesel version. The 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol mill churns out a maximum power output of 134bhp and 230Nm of top torque, while the other model gets a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that develops 189bhp and 300Nm of torque. The diesel version of the Convertible features a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder powertrain that belts out 114bhp and 269Nm of torque.
The engines will be coupled to a new manual and automatic transmissions, which promise to offer better efficiency and improved performance. This is all what we have for now, stay tuned to CarDekho for more updates on the same.
