2014 World Auto Forum (WAF) Awards announced

The World Auto Forum has announced awards for the year. The forum not only awards the deserving products but also recognizes the brains behind that. The awards are given in the following categories: Two Wheeler Makers, Passenger Vehicle Makers, Trucks & Buses (CV) Makers and Best Innovation.

Mr. Anuj Guglani, Founder World Auto Forum, puts it: “The Indian auto industry is really excited about this award and are eagerly looking forward to the results which would be based on scientific research and analysis, Jury decision and background check. We follow very stringent quality control!”

The jury panel of WFA comprises of professors of IIT Delhi, entrepreneurs and senior officers who select the winners based on parameters set by the Advisory Council. And the Awards Advisory Council comprised of Mr. Rajive Saharia – Global Head- Trucks Division - Ashok Leyland, Mr. Ankush Arora - Senior Vice President & Head Commercial- PCBU- Tata Motors, Mr. Sumit Sawhney -MD & CEO- Renault India and Mr. Rajeev Wasan - Senior VP- Manufacturing- Honda Cars India Ltd. 2014 WAF Awards Jury had Prof Kanika T Bhal – Head – DMS – IIT Delhi, Dr. Akhil Prasad – India Legal Head – Boeing and Mr. Anuj Guglani – Founder- World Auto Forum in its panel.

Mr. Sumit Sawhney- Country CEO & MD- Renault India, says; “WAF awards have created a niche for itself though only in its second year of existence. WAF follows a detailed parameter of selection, which enables the jury to identify the best among the shortlisted nominees through a triple layer filtration process, which rules out any unintentional bias. I am sure going forward the WAF awards will be a name to reckon within the industry.”
