Mahindra has launched the XEV 9e electric SUV coupe. It is based on Mahindra’s all-new INGLO architecture and offers a claimed range of up to 656 km.

It also gets a 1400 W 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and an augmented reality based heads-up display.

Mahindra has revealed that the XEV 9e is offered with an option between 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. It comes with both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrains. Mahindra’s flagship EV offers a claimed driving range of up to 656 km (MIDC Part I + Part II).
It supports 175 kW DC fast charging, allowing 20 percent to 80 percent charging in 20 minutes.
How safe is the XEV 9e?
The INGLO platform, Mahindra claims, has been built keeping a 5-star Global NCAP crash rating in mind. However, we will have to wait for the XEV 9e’s crash test to come to a conclusion.
In terms of safety, it gets up to 7 airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP) and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It also gets level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) tech such as lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, and adaptive cruise control.
