The Hyundai i20 Magna, priced at Rs 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), is only offered with the manual gearbox option
The Hyundai i20 facelift went on sale on our shores, with prices starting from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), recently. With the update, the carmaker introduced a new base-spec Era variant of the premium hatchback, thus lowering its starting price. The new i20 is now available in five broad variants: Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). In this story, let’s check out the second-from-base Magna variant in five images:
How Does It Look On The Outside?
Up front, the most noticeable difference between the Magna and higher-spec variants is that the former doesn’t get LED headlights but has halogen units instead. This variant also comes with basic LED DRLs near the fog lamp housings. It gets the same gloss-black finish for the grille and silver finish for the front skid plate as seen on the better-equipped variants.
In profile, the i20 Magna gets body coloured ORVM housings and door handles. Hyundai has provided it with 15-inch steel wheels with covers, while the turn indicators are placed on the front fenders. At the back, it has connected taillights and the ‘i20’ badge on the tailgate.

Cabin Highlights
The i20 Magna comes with a black and grey cabin theme with silver accents, and black and grey fabric upholstery. In terms of features, the i20 Magna gets manual AC with rear AC vents, all-four power windows, an 8-inch touchscreen system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and steering-mounted audio and calling controls.
With the update, the i20 now comes with six airbags as standard. Other safety features on board the Magna variant include tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC), 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and rear parking sensors.
A Petrol-only Offering
Hyundai now offers the i20 with a single 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (up to 88PS/115Nm), coupled with either a 5-speed MT or a CVT. The Magna variant, however, is only available with the manual shifter.
