2500 units of Toyota Fortuner booked

The most popular Toyota Fortuner has been officially launched in India today and the company has already received 2500 booking pan. According to the Toyota Kirloskar Motor Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh it has been expected to sell two thousand units of Toyota Fortuner till December end. Toyota's Indian unit Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is also expecting Toyota Fortuner to take away 50 per cent of the market share.

This compact car is expected to be priced at Rs. 20 lakh and above. The vehicle would be supported by a 3-litre Advanced Common-Rail Diesel engine and will also feature fulltime four-wheel drive and will be targeted primarily at the urban luxury SUV customer. Toyota will assemble Toyota Fortuner at its plant near Bangalore too.
