3000 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz pre-booked in just 3 Days!

Seems like Maruti Suzuki has struck the right chord this time with Ciaz, their third attempt in the mid-size sedan segment after the not-so-good experience with Baleno and SX4. Adding to it, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has garnered 3000 bookings in mere 3 days! Having said that, it's too early to say about the success route of Ciaz seeing the Maruti Suzuki's past attempts.

But Ciaz itself contradicts its previous predecessors on many aspects; its spacious, its flamboyant, sports modest engines and features luxurious cabin with modern add-ons. Ciaz has entered in a segment which is largely dominated by Honda City with monthly sales ranges in the vicinity of 7,000 while its worthy competitor is Hyundai Verna, which manages to sell around 3,000 units monthly.

Moreover, Maruti has certainly focused on Honda City, it shows as Maruti has tried to excel in almost every sector which City gloats proudly. Speaking in this context, biggest of all is that Ciaz has swept the title of India's most fuel efficient car from under the foots of Honda City overnight – Ciaz gets an edge over City with 26.21km/l! On the inside, City sports a Japanese, quirky kind of dashboard layout while Ciaz is more on the elegant side with clean straight lines, use of faux wood panels and dual tone beige and black dashboard.

It also features the largest wheelbase in the segment with 2650mm and one of the largest boot space – 510 liters. Furthermore, Ciaz offers a bigger 7-inch touch screen infotainment system compared to City's 5-inch unit. In a nutshell, City maybe slightly better on feature list, possess better engine options and CVT i-VTEC petrol with paddle shifters are certainly the best you can get in the segment. But it all ends and relies on the pricing of Ciaz which is expected to be in-between 7.5-10.5 lakh!
