3.2L 473bhp Engine Speculated to Power the 2014 BMW M3

The numero uno luxury car maker of the world, BMW is all readying to treat its fans in the Indian subcontinent with a new BMW 3 Series as soon as the next month. Also, the testing mule of the M power coupe and sedan, was taking test runs while it was spotted very recently.

Word is, the car is getting ready for launch in 2013. According to the company’s President for North American subsidiary, the 2014 BMW M3 will be powered by a six-cylinder inline engine; however some new details are surfacing regarding the forthcoming powerplant.

Other sources reveal that the 2014 BMW M3 will derive power from the 3.2L engine which has been inspired by the existing 4.0L V8 engine. Also, the engine is expected to be turbocharged which will ultimately deliver an enhanced power output of 444bhp or 450 PS or 331kW.

The inclusion of a performance package is also on the cards, which is anticipated to shoot up the peak power to 473bhp or 480PS or 353kW. An added advantage of the performance package is that, it would make the newfangled 2014 BMW M3 capable of attaining a maximum speed of 300 km/hr.
