5 Features Volkswagen Tiguan R Line Gets Over 2025 Skoda Kodiaq
While most of these features are not dealbreakers, the Tiguan R Line’s additional safety kit is a noteworthy miss in the new Kodiaq
The newly launched Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line and the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq share a lot in common. The fully-loaded Kodiaq is also priced at Rs 48.69 lakh which is close to the price tag of Tiguan R Line at Rs 49 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, pan-India). However, minor feature differences set them apart beyond their designs.
We’ve previously explained what features the Skoda Kodiaq gets over the Tiguan. In this report, we’ll look at five features that the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line offers over the new Kodiaq.
Larger 15-inch Infotainment Display
The Tiguan R-Line features a bigger 15-inch touchscreen, compared to the Kodiaq’s 12.9-inch unit. While the Kodiaq’s screen is quite good in itself, the bigger display is still a good-to-have thing. Both the SUVs have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity support in their infotainment system.
Head-up display (HUD)
The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line gets a head-up display that shows important information like speed and directions projected on the windshield. Hence the driver doesn’t have to look away from the road as often. The Kodiaq doesn’t offer this feature.
Heated Steering Wheel
The Tiguan R Line gets a 3-spoke steering wheel which also comes with a heating function. This is another good-to-have feature especially during winters and at colder regions, keeping your palms warm while driving. However, its use case is limited if you’re living in a hot region.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
For a car retailing at over Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom), an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite is something you'd expect in your vehicle, considering plenty of mass market vehicles have it. The Tiguan R-Line does offer you 21 level-2 ADAS features, including lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking. This is something Skoda should have included in the Kodiaq to make its package complete.
Dynamic Chassis Control
The Volkswagen Tiguan R Line also gets dynamic chassis control (DCC) over the new Skoda Kodiaq. This feature adjusts the stiffness of the dampers based on how and where you're driving. It can make the ride softer for comfort or firmer for better handling as and when needed.
