The 2023 Tata Safari facelift has been officially revealed and bookings are open ahead of the launch. The updated SUV gets a new design inside and out, improved features and multiple new colour options. We’ve summed up the 5 key things that stand out about the Safari facelift out of everything new on the upcoming Safari facelift, here are:
Refreshed Exterior Design
Tata has heavily redesigned the front and rear of the Tata Safari for this facelift. The fascia gets a new grille, connected LED DRL strip running across the width of the bonnet, and the split-LED headlamps are now simplified into a vertical stack that looks similar to those of the Nexon and Nexon EV.
The side profile remains more or less the same but now looks neater. The front doors have a Safari badging in the new font and it gets new 19-inch alloy wheels.
The rear end also gets a new design with a redesigned bumper, a more prominent skid plate and a connected tail lamp setup. Both the LED DRL and the taillamps have a dynamic welcome and goodbye animation.
Revamped Interior
Design changes are present on the inside as well. The cabin gets a new layered dashboard with a dual-tone finish and a curved bottom. The cabin’s colour scheme also varies with themed dashboard and door inserts based on the variant and exterior colour. It gets a new 4-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo, updated central console and houses a bigger touchscreen in the middle.
Advanced Infotainment & Technology
A major feature addition to the new Safari is the new screen setup. The Safari now comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen information system, similar to the one seen recently on the new Nexon EV and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
Apart from the infotainment screen, the new Safari now also gets a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, much like the one on the new Nexon and Nexon EV. It replaces the recently introduced 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster that will be offered on the lower variants.
Comfort Features
With this update, the 2023 Safari also receives more comfort and convenience features than before. It now features dual-zone climate control for added comfort along with the touch-based AC panel taken from the updated Nexons. It already came with power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, while the 6-seater variant gets ventilated 2nd row as well.

New Colour Options
The new Safari comes in seven colour options, out of which three are entirely new: Cosmic Gold, Lunar Slate and Supernova Copper. Along with the new exterior colour options, the cabin also gets different themes based on the exterior including a black and grey cabin, a black and beige cabin and a black and tan brown cabin.
Price & Rivals
The updated Tata Safari is expected to be priced from Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) and can be launched sometime next month. It will continue to rival the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
