Cars with wireless phone charging under Rs 10 lakh

In the last few years, the Indian automobile industry has witnessed a significant shift by way of high-end features being democratised to more affordable cars making them more comfortable and safer as well. In this article, we will be looking at yet another piece of technology (read wireless phone charging) which has trickled down from premium models to cars priced under Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Advantage Of Wireless Phone Charging

A wireless phone charging area in the central console negates the use of power cables that can create a clutter which can be distracting for the driver. It also makes it easier for the driver to simply place their smartphone on the charging pad while on the go, instead of having to pull over to plug it in via a cable. Additionally, in the case of cars without wireless smartphone connectivity, it becomes an alternate way to charge a secondary device without needing a secondary cable that could have caused even more clutter.

However, it is worth noting that wireless charging may not be as fast as charging with a phone-specific cable, and not all phone covers are compatible with the technology either.

While we have only considered cars that get wireless phone charging as a factory-fitted equipment, there are a few others in the same category that get it as an official accessory as well.
