All New Skoda Superb Spotted on the Roads of Prague

The fourth generation Skoda Superb is already revealed in Prague a month ago, so what’s new now? Well, the “best Skoda ever” is now seen on the roads of Prague, capital city of Czech Republic. The new Superb first made its public debut at the 85th Geneva Motor Show, 2015. The saloon will be put on sale this summer in UK while Indian lovers of Czech manufacturer have to wait for next year. Based on VW’s MQB platform, next gen Superb boasts 80 mm increase in wheelbase which adds more space to the already comfortable rear compartment along with adding space in boot which now can hold 625 liters of luggage (1,760 liters with the rear seats folded). The front profile gets Bi-Xenon headlamps with AFS (Adaptive-Front-Lighting-System) and LED daytime running lights - high beam which can be electronically controlled via Light Assist; LED taillamps (standard).

The interior flaunts new infotainment systems based on Volkswagen Group’s MIB technology (Modularer Infotainment-Baukasten). The top-model gets 4G-LTE connectivity along with  SmartLink which includes MirrorLink, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. The comfort bar is raised by the three-zone air conditioning and Canton sound system with 12 speakers.

On safety front, the European model offers standard features like ESC (Electronic-Stability-Control); Multi-Collision Brake along with Front-Assist and Emergency-Brake; Electronic-Tyre-Pressure-Monitoring; Seven airbags; Five three-point automatic seat belts and safety headrests; and Electronic-Differential-Lock.

Under the hood, Skoda offers Superb with direct-injected turbocharged motors - five TSI petrol and three TDI common-rail diesel engines. The TSI engine gives an output in the range of 125 HP to 280 HP while the diesel ranges from 120 HP to 190 HP.
