Apollo tyres join hands with Knit-Fit car service centers in Netherlands

The largest tyre manufacturer in India has joined hands with Knit-Fit to sell their tyres through their 180 kwit-Fit car centres scattered in The Netherlands. Kwik-Fit will sell the entire summer and winter range of passenger car and 4x4 tyres from Apollo.
Apollo is a global brand of tyres produced in India, Europe and South Africa. It also caters to some of the most prominent OEMs in the world.
Keit-Fit Group is the largest manufacturer of the automotive parts in Europe and one of the largest in the world. It is also a specialist in repair and replacement, the head-quarters of the company is in United Kingdom. The company has around 2000 service outlets in Europe and it services over 7.5 million motorists every year across Europe. Martin Post, General Director, Kwik-Fit said Apollo is a reliable brand and the company looks forward to offering the tyres to their customers.
Rob Oudshoorn, CEO, Apollo Vredestein B V, also commented on the tie-up between the two firms, he said that the company is delighted to associate its name with Kwit-Fit. He further added that this symbioses will help them to create market in Holland. Apollo is trying to create a niche for themselves in the European market and the alliance like this will help the company to strengthen their hold in the European market. Though the company has already made their entry back in June 2010. The brand is currently available in The Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom and Italy.
The headquarters of the Apollo Tyres is in the National Capital Region of India. The company made its foray into the European market in May 2009, when it acquired the premium Dutch tyre manufacturer Vredestein Banden B V (since renamed Apollo Vredestein B V). In 2006, the company acquired Dunlop Tyres International in South Africa (since renamed Apollo Tyres South Africa Pty Ltd). There are around 13000 employees in the company, not only this but it also has a global production capacity of 1500 tonnes per day. The company has altogether 9 facilities across the world including India, South Africa and Europe.
