Audi delighting women

The Germany luxury car inventor Audi is facing more and more female buyers on its outlets. The company has been performing extremely well in the Indian auto market which is due to the improving income level of the Indians. The luxury car segment in India is mainly ruled by BMW and followed by Mercedes and on the third  choice lies the famous car brand Audi. But at an interesting note, the company has claimed itself to be the preferred choice for Indian females.

As per the reports submitted, quite a good number of Indian women have already purchased a model from the Audi outlet and among the most famous is Audi TT. Moreover the report also states that many Bollywood beauties also own one piece of work from the company stable. Among the famous names we have Bollywood heartthrob Katrina Kaif. Among male owners, we have the smart and handsome Ranbir Kapoor who recently bought an Audi R8. as per the statements made by Michael Perschke who is the Head in Audi India, the company is  surprised to see that a Audi sports cars like Audi R8 and Audi TT are becoming a choice of more and more  women in India. he said that this shows the increasing interest of Indian  women in not  just luxury cars but also the sporty ones.

The year 2011 marked tremendous success for the company with a jump of 50% in the sales, which was around 3,000 units in 2010. Moreover Perschke has also said that the Indian automotive business is demanding some rectification which is mainly because of the higher interest rates. He also claimed that it will not stop the company from working smoothly and they will work hard to repeat the last year’s success. he claimed a sale of 150 of Audi R8 during 2011. the car is priced at over Rs 1.3 crore. He also stated that India makes a lucrative destination for the company and the company is planning to add more car models to the Indian portfolio which will include Audi R8 V10, Audi A8, Audi A7 and Audi A6, the last one in the fourth quarter this year.
