Audi, the luxury car maker from Germany has been successfully selling the Audi Q range around the globe. This success has made the brand all the more ambitious which is now moving on the path of expansion of its Q range of crossovers.  Audi is working on launching the Q2, Q4, Q6 and Q8 crossovers at global level which would target a new segment of customers in both the developed and emerging markets. Audi has not specified any details about the specific locations of model launches.

Audi Q2

These even-numbered crossover models will be predominantly positioned as road going models and thus will sit below the odd-numbered crossovers models. The Q2, Q4, Q6 and Q8 will be advertised strongly as an on-road model rather than an off-roader. At the same time, Audi has some special plans for the next generation of Audi Q3, Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 crossovers under which the company will focus on imaging these models more like off-roader while still maintaining the crossovers feel. In order to enhance the off-road appeal, the Q3, Q5 and Q7 models are rendered higher ground clearance and other features that perform better in such conditions.

Audi Q4

The GenNext Q3, Q5 and Q7 will have the same support from beneath like the crossovers versions which would ensure that they would not be out and out SUVs that are specially designed to beat any kind of terrain but they would surely be able to manage light off-roading with a better overall ability. The next generation of Q range of crossovers is likely to share parts with some other vehicles in the Volkswagen group that includes brands like Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini. The platform sharing is supposed to happen between Audi Q crossover series and the Porsche Macan, the Lamborghini SUV and the Bentley SUV.

Audi Q6

The platform sharing process will prove to be very profitable for the car makers in a number of ways; firstly Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bentley would save a lot on the cost of the development of the parts as well as the development cost and secondly, these brands would be able to render competitive prices to their products in the markets worldwide. The Indian Audi fans can expect these newfangled crossovers to make an appearance soon.

Audi Q8

Also, being launched today in Mumbai is the face-lifted version of the Audi A4 saloon. This refreshed luxury sedan has been bestowed with changes on the inside as well as on the outside. The detailed styling of the body design of the upcoming Audi A4 sedan and the addition of world-class features is sure to grab some serious attention and appreciation from the on-lookers and owners.
