Audi India Clocks impressive 79% growth in February 2011

Audi India witnessed another successful month in terms of sales in February, the German auto giant managed to sell 450 cars , posting a growth of whooping 79 percent against the same period i last year.

Commenting on the February performance Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India said that Audi registered its name among the top three luxury brands in the Indian auto market and continues to achieve high sales this year too. Audi Indian kick started the year with the launch of its flagship Audi A8 L along with the sports car Audi R8 V10 and has several other products in pipeline. Audi also added another SUV to its portfolio Audi Q5 diesel.

He further added that the company is planning to roll out other car models like Audi A6, Audi A7 in India. Recently at the Geneva Motor show the company unfolded the high security version of its flagship Audi A8 L embedded with some exclusive security features.

Last year has been phenomenal for Audi across the globe, the German auto giant achieved success in terms of sales. Audi managed to hold on to its numero uno position in Europe and China. As far as Indian and U S auto markets are concerned, Audi did leave a huge impact on these markets. Audi is the market leader in the super sports car segment across the globe and has also bagged the number one position in the luxury SUV segment in Indian auto market.

The Audi's portfolio in India includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8. Audi showrooms are now available in cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai West and Pune. Further developments include Surat, Mumbai South, Coimbatore, Indore and Lucknow.
