92 teams, comprising of 241 Audi dealer technicians and service advisors from 33 dealerships, competed in the India championship
German automaker Audi organises the National Twin Cup worldwide, which tests customer orientation and the technical knowledge of its participants. Although it has been a yearly event elsewhere since 1996, Audi initiated it in India in 2010. The carmaker recently concluded the sixth edition of this annual contest. Six technical and six service teams made it to the finals where the team from Audi Okhla (New Delhi) bagged the first spot in technology category and Audi Chennai topped in service category.
A total of 92 teams, comprising of 241 Audi dealer technicians and service advisors from 33 dealerships, competed in the India championship. The technicians and service advisors competed in the fields of diagnostics and repair, as well as in customer support. The winning teams will go on to represent India against 73 teams from 38 countries at the world finals in 2017.
Thierry Lespiaucq, MD, Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited, shared his take on this initiative. He said that the company has invested heavily in training the staff and the campaigns implemented for strengthening the service levels have worked brilliantly. He further added that, this year too, competing teams achieved first-class results through optimal cooperation between service technicians in the workshop and service advisors interacting with the customer. The winners had to deliver on a framework moderated by AUDI AG, validating that the Audi service in India is on par with the service in other markets, internationally.
At the world finals of 2016, the Audi India team comprising of members from Audi Gurgaon, Audi Ludhiana and Audi Mumbai South bagged fourth place in the technology category. In the service category, the combined effort by Audi Chandigarh, Audi Kochi and Audi Mumbai West achieved eighth rank. In the twin category of technology and service, these teams were placed at eighth position overall.
