Audi will make its EV-debut in India with the e-tron range of electric SUVs, slated to launch on July 22. Ahead of their arrival, the carmaker has announced a range of charging options for its early customers.
The earliest customers will get to avail complimentary charging for the rest of 2021 at any Audi India dealership that is equipped for EV charging, some of which will offer 50kW fast charging. Perhaps a more significant incentive for the e-tron is that all 2021 customers will receive the wall box AC charger (which can be installed at a location of the customer’s choosing) for free in addition to the 11kW AC charging that is offered as standard.
The German luxury car brand is also going to open up the ‘Chargers near me’ section of the ‘myAudi Connect’ app as well as on their website. The chargers listed on here, nearest to the users location, will be compatible with the e-tron.

Audi will be offering the e-tron in three trims at launch: e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55. The entry-level e-tron 50 has a 71.2kWh battery pack for a claimed WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) range of upto 341km with electric motors for a peak power output of 313PS and 540Nm. Meanwhile, the e-tron 55 variants have a 95kWh battery pack for a WLTP range of up to 440km while the electric motors offer up to 360PS of power and 561Nm of torque.
As a luxury electric SUV, the e-tron is well-equipped with comforts. It gets a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a powered tailgate.
