Audi plans big for India

Audi, the German luxury automobile maker well known for its craftsmanship is growing leaps and bounds in the domestic auto market which is depicted on the company's sales graph. For the last month Audi registered sales of 480 car models which came out to be the highest monthly sales for the company. The company recorded growth of 57 per cent against the same time last year which was 306 car models for January 2010.

Michael Perschke, Head at Audi India said that the auto company is elated with the last year's sales as it has established the company as the fastest growing luxury car brand in India. Audi has hit the year on a great note and is looking forward to continue the success. The auto giant is hoping a great year ahead too. The company's focus on the customers, the expansion in the dealership network all these factors will contribute to the company's growth for this year.

In the Chinese and European auto markets, Audi maintained its numero uno position for 2010. In US and Indian auto markets, the company acquired a status of the fastest growing luxury brand. Audi India has declared various initiatives on the dealership expansion and product development.

Mr Perschke added that the company is committed to expand in the Indian auto market. The company recently came with a new showroom in Chennai later followed by inaugurating the country's largest showroom in the capital. Also, Audi India has launched it flagship car model Audi A8 L which has set standards for luxury and excellent performance. Audi also expanded the portfolio by introducing the sports car Audi R8 V10. These cars has been gthering expectational response from the buyers. Currently, Audi's power wagon range includes Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi TT and Audi R8 which are available in 13 cities in India.
