Audi registered a 200% sales growth in January

Audi India today announced a 200 percent increase in its January sales as compare to sales in the same period of last year. Where company sold only 109 units of its luxury cars in January 2009, it sold around 306 units in January 2010. While announcing the January sales figures of the company, Mr Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India said that company registered a good sales growth throughout the year 2009 and now it started 2010 with record sales. He also added that company is looking forward to keep this growth momentum throughout the year 2010. While the company sold the 1,658 units in the year 2009, it's targeting to sell 2300 units this year which will account for 40% sales growth.

Referring to the company's sales network in India Mr Tiers said that company will focus on network expansion this year and company will be expending its dealership network in mini-metro cities with introduction of new offerings. Cars to look forward to this quarter are Ford Figo and Tata Aria that will be launched  in the month of Feb and March respectively.
