Audi India will launch the facelifted version of its performance saloon RS7 on May 11, 2015. The Ingolstadt based manufacturer announced the arrival of updated saloon in June 2014 for International markets and it took almost a year to introduce it in India. The updated Audi RS7 gets redesigned bumper, new honeycombed single-frame grille with Quattro badging and updated LED headlamps with an option of Matrix LED which is also used in luxury A8 saloon.
More on the updated features, the facelifted version gets three front packages, namely, Carbon, Matt Aluminum and Gloss Black. But still the biggest change is the incorporation of Matrix LED lighting system (optional) with signature day-time-running-LEDs. The taillights mimic the front LED design and feature standard turn indicators compared to dynamic at the front.
The cabin hosts multiple changes in the form of revised instrument panel with new air-con controls and restyled paddle shifters. Other changes include the optional Multi-Media Interface Plus infotainment system with a new Nvidia graphics processor.
Mechanically the performance saloon is still the same as it draws the power of 552bhp from turbocharged 4.0-litre TFSI V8 petrol engine. Power from the mill is feeded to an eight-speed tip-tronic automatic transmission in a Quattro all-wheel-drive setup. And since it's the third time we calling this saloon as performance vehicle is because the car is able to touch 100kmph mark from standstill in mere 3.9 seconds with top speed of 255kmph which can be further increased to 280kmph to 305kmph by opting ‘Dynamic package’.
