Audi in India is known among the masses but owned by classes. Audi a synonym of perfection, style and technology is experiencing a joyous time in India with demand accelerating just like its sales graph. Audi in India entered in 2004 but it is not new to India. It is associated with some one special to the country who made a vital contribution in the 1983 World Cup. Then an explicit batsman and now a respectable name in the world cricket Ravi Shastri the 6'3 inch tall dark and handsome cricketer was presented Audi way back in 1983. He won “Audi 100” as he won the man of the series tittle, which was then known as “Champaion of the Champaions”. To acknowledge his efforts, Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi waved off the excise duty.
Audi owns a fascinated history in the auto mobile industry. Audi proudly adorns the four circles as its emblem on its cars. In 1932, four independent entities Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer amalgamated which now forms the core of what AUDI AG is today. The Audi AG manufactures auto mobiles ranging from mini cars to SUVs to crossovers under Audi badge.
Audi India is spreading its wings in the domestic auto market and in 6 years of its existence it has become an obvious choice for those who cannot compromise in comfort, technology and luxury. However, its rivals such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Bentley, Volvo and Jaguar are utilizing the current economy growth, but it seems in the popularity chart they still lag behind. Currently, it holds the luxury car market with its winning products such as Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A8, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi R8 and Audi TT. The company is overwhelmed with the response it is receiving from the country and wishes to expand on its portfolio which is why it recently launched Audi A8L and plans to further add on to its power wagons.
