Auto sector recruits the most in October

The auto sector of India is growing fast. It has achieved many milestones and is gaining popularity all over the world. The constantly rising demand and the powerful economic growth is taking the auto market to new heights every day. According to a study, the success of auto market has also generated numerous job opportunities, especially in the month of October. A detailed analysis of the topic indicates that the index for the auto sector reached at 917 in October 2010. This is the highest index for this sector since October 2008, says the same study done by a prestigious job portal. A study was made under the analysis of industry sector.

The oil and gas sector also registered good growth figures of twelve per cent in October 2010 in comparison of the earlier month. A glance at the index in the last two years indicates that there is generally a seasonal fall in recruitment process in the festive season. But in the present year, there have been encouraging signs in certain sectors like Oil and Gas, Auto, ITES and Manufacturing which carry on the process of hiring constantly.
  
Hitesh Oberoi, CEO and MD, of a popular online classified said that most of the other sectors, for example, IT/ITeS, IT- Hardware, construction and manufacturing etc are maintaining firm hiring levels. He also stated that in the next few months, micro and macroeconomic changes will affect the plans of hiring in India. For instance, if the rupee carries on the process of strengthening the export directed areas like IT, medium and small industries will bear the impact.

However, sectors like IT-Software, banking and telecom observed marginal fall of around 6 per cent and 2 per cent during the month of October in 2010 in comparison to September, 2010. The aforesaid study also stated that this decline is quite seasonal in nature. This fall could also be attributed to the present festive wave, said the study. According to the analysis of functional area, the most demanding skill sets for the October month of 2010 included banking, accounts and production where the index increased by eleven per cent (banking), 8 per cent(production) and 5 (accounts) per cent in October'10 in comparison to September 2010.
