Automobile advertisement scales to 23 per cent of growth

Indian Auto Market is scoring high on sales graph with records in breaking and new records in making. It was evaluated that in the first eight months of this year, the advertisement on the visual media accounted to a growth of 23 per cent, over the last years.
As per the Adex survey of TAM Media Research, the advertisement of the passenger cars on visual media accounts for 45 per cent out of the total advertisement of the automobiles on TV.
As per the industry, the auto motive sector contributes to almost 800 crore out of the total amount spend on TV advertisement, which was Rs 9,000 crore calculated last year.
Naveen Khemka, the senior Vice-President of Zenith Optimedia said that, the automobile sector advertisement accounts for almost Rs 600 to Rs 800 crore out of the total advertisement.
The top advertiser on TV was Maruti Suzuki India in total TV advertising volumes which calculates to 19 per cent of the market share in the passenger car segment. Mahindra Xylo gains the top position among the most advertise vehicle followed by Tata Sumo Grande and Chevrolet Beat.
Society of Indian automobile Manufacturers conducted a survey that showed, October was one of the best months for the Auto industry this year, in terms of record breaking for the fourth time. As per the data, the total car sales recorded was 14,60,655 - it showed better sales when compared with the sales of September this year.
Maruti Suzuki has been the market czar this year in the month of October which crossed the one lacs sales mark with includes exports also. This record has been made for the first time in the Indian auto market by any company. Maruti rules the market with its wide range of top selling cars in India like Maruti Alto, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Ritz, Maruti Zen Estilo, Maruti Swift, Maruti 800, Maruti Dzire, Maruti SX4, Maruti Omini, Maruti Eeco, the SUVs Maruti Gypsy and Maruti Grand Vitara.
In the passenger car advertisement, Tata Motors share was 17 per cent and General Motors had 11 per cent following Maruti Suzuki which was calculated from January to August in this year, as per Adex.
As per the survey, the advertisement of the passenger cars in the regional and national channels was broad-casted in the ratio of 73:27 calculated in the first eight months of this year.
